Manchester United reject Joshua Zirkzee is set to ask to leave the side as manager Ruben Amorim pushes him out the side.

Zirkzee joined United from Bologna for around £37M in the 2024 summer transfer window and has featured only four times this season, with his most recent league goal for United dating back to December.

The Dutchman is reportedly unhappy about his lack of game time under Amorim and will look seek to force a move away from the club. The Express report that he will request a transfer away from United in the upcoming January transfer window, in a move that would not shock many fans.

The 24-year-old netted only seven times in 49 matches across all competitions and despite his dire form in the Premier League, West Ham United are said to be interested in a loan move which would allow the young forward the minutes he needs to evolve and grow as a player.

After the summer arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko, Zirkzee has been forced to watch on from the bench this season. Three Italian clubs are keeping tabs on the situation too, with reports suggesting Roma and his former club Bologna are ready to pounce.

The Hammers are the second-lowest goalscorers in the Premier League so far this season, with six goals from eight matches, and are in desperate need of a striker under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Zirkzee is said to be keen to stay in the Premier League and it may be the perfect move for both parties in a few months time.
