Manchester United winger Antony has rejected a summer move to Saudi Arabia after a bid from Al-Nassr was received this week.

United outcast Antony rejected transfer offers from Botafogo and his boyhood club, Sao Paulo earlier this month as the club struggle to part ways with the player that is not in manager Ruben Amorim’s plans ahead of the new campaign.

The Brazilian international spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Real Betis, where he impressed by scoring nine goals. Due to this he is in high demand this summer and The Express now report that Saudi Pro League side have put in an offer for Antony in yet another offer from outside Europe.

The reports states that Antony wants to return to Seville as a priority and any offer from any other club, especially from outside of Europe will not entice him to leave United even if he is deemed surplus to requirements.

Reports claim that the winger must be sold for £32.8M for United to avoid making a PSR loss even if it means the club lose a lot of money after he arrived in an £81.3m move from Ajax in 2022. A move back to Betis would be the dream for Antony but the club cannot afford the fee or his high wages even if they were reduced.

The Red Devils need to offload players before they can make further additions in the transfer market and they must find a solution for Antony soon before he is stuck at the club or has to be loaned out like Marcus Rashford was earlier this month.
