Manchester United boss Michael Carrick has scrapped a rule imposed by his predecessor, Ruben Amorim.

To lift morale, Carrick chose to end the rule barring players from having breaks during the season. It was a move brought in by Amorim after issues involving Marcus Rashford.

However, the Manchester Evening News says Carrick has reversed the decison, which saw skipper Bruno Fernandes back in Portugal on the weekend with United out of the FA Cup.

Fernandes was seen watching Pacos de Ferreira versus Torreense.

Teammate Senne Lammens also took advantage last weekend as he visited former club, Royal Antwerp.

Carrick's move to scrap the holiday rule is said to have lifted spirits even further inside the United dressing room.
