United are planning to send scouts to follow Kalulu in tonight's big match against Inter Milan.
Juventus are aware that there is great interest in the defender and are therefore preparing a new contract for Kalulu.
The new deal will be for four years and include a substantial salary increase. However, Kalulu may take some convincing should United formalise their interest.
The France international's deal with Juve runs to 2029.
