The Benfica keeper scored with a superb header to seal a 4-2 Champions League win against Real Madrid - with his goal securing a place in the round of 16 play-offs.
Lammens has scored for former club, Club Brugge, and has hopes of doing the same for United.
"I mean there's two parts to that," Lammens told manutd.com. "Obviously, most of the time, we're behind so it's not always the best situation that we're in, that one.
"But I feel like I have a lot of confidence because I scored a goal in the past.
"So I feel like I can give that to my team and help my team as well in that part of the pitch.
"So, yeah, hopefully, in the future, we're not behind. But, if we are behind, I can help the team as well and maybe score a goal one time."
