Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor have already made an impact since their summer arrivals, helping promoted Leeds reach 12th place on the Premier League table during this international break.
On former Everton striker Calvert-Lewin, Beckford told Tribalfootball.com: "I l like Calvert-Lewin a lot. He has a proven record of a top Premier League striker, he has played for England and knows how to score in the Premier League.
"The more he plays for Leeds, I am certain, the better he will be. It's been a top signing for the club and Leeds have done well so far this season in the Premier League.
"Apart from the Arsenal game, where there is no shame in losing at Emirates to a title chasing side, Leeds United have been in every game so far. They have been very competitive and I've been impressed with the energy of the team too. Calvert Lewin has Premier League experience and this is crucial to help the youngsters and game management as the season goes on.
"So, it's absolutely been a top signing for the Club. As a number 9, he leads the line really well and there are sides Leeds should have no fear playing this season."
Okafor a great recruitment move
Meanwhile, reflecting on former AC Milan attacker Okafor, Beckford also stated: "Recruitment is so important when you get promoted to the Premier League. You look at the last time Leeds were in the Premier League. This time the recruitment has been very good.
"The team are performing well on the pitch and the new players as well as players from last season have stepped up to the Premier League level and it's brilliant to see. Okafor has impressed so far and has settled in really well.
"It's great to see new players coming to Leeds and performing this way, so very excited to see what can come next for Okafor."
Leeds can beat drop
Reflecting on Leeds' campaign so far, Beckford says there's much to be confident about in the club's push to stay up this season.
He said, "It's been a really positive start to the season. As mentioned, apart from the Arsenal game, where you are coming up against a tittle challenger, Leeds have equipped themselves brilliantly. You have to perform well at home and make it a hard place for teams to come and win and that is exactly what Leeds have done.
"This is what didn't happen last time and now we have a great balance of the team doing well and the fans getting behind the team to make Elland Road a tough place to come. The teams confidence is high and you can feel it and see it on the pitch, so this stands the team in great stead moving forward.
"To be competitive as Leeds have, gives everyone confidence they can finish 17th or higher, which is the only objective right now. I see three teams Leeds can finish above and also in the current table, there are teams above Leeds, who I think they can finish above as well. But it's important that Leeds do keep their top players fit and on the pitch as injuries can hinder the team."
