Howe makes Isak decision as Newcastle send new message to Liverpool

With Liverpool expected to return with a new offer after last week's &;pound;110m bid was turned down, Howe has decided to not include Isak in his selection plans.

The Mirror says Howe will freeze out Isak from their upcoming friendlies against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid.

Knowing Liverpool are about to sell Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal, Newcastle expect the Reds to return with the new bid in the coming days.

For his part, Isak wants to see the move happen and has been training away from Howe's senior squad.

Newcastle value the 25-year-old at £150m and have informed Liverpool they will not sell until a replacement arrives on Tyneside.
