Carrick has agreed "in principle" to take charge of United to the end of this season - and the members of his support team are now emerging.

BBC Sport says Carrick is going for a mix of United-connected coaches and those outside the club to fill the positions.

Along with Holland, former Middlesbrough and Real Madrid defender Jon Woodgate also will arrive. Ex-United defender Jonny Evans and U21 coach Travis Binnion will now step up to join the senior team.

Darren Fletcher, who was caretaker manager for the games against Burnley and Brighton immediately after Ruben Amorim’s exit, will return to the U18s.
