The Cherries blew the title race wide open with their 2-1 win at the Emirates.
Hill was outstanding on the day and told the Daily Echo: “We work hard for these moments.
“I think we've been drilling it into ourselves each week and you've seen the performances from previous games.
“Obviously, we missed out on a couple of wins, but I think the consistency and the mentality not to lose games and to keep pushing, I think it shows today where we want to get to as a team.
“And yeah, it just puts us in good stead going into the next one now.”
On Europe, Hill added: “I think obviously now, a great result today, but we've got to put that to bed now.
“I think we've got to be focusing on the next game because we can only go one game at a time.
“We'll enjoy it today, but as soon as today's finished, we'll drop it and we're on to the next one. And it's about getting a result in the next game if we want to get something really good this season.”
