The midfielder was outstanding and struck midway through the second-half for the 2-1 win.
Scott later told BBC Solent: "Really happy.
“It's one of the tougher places to come and where they are at the minute, top of the league, fighting to win the Premier League, it was going to be really hard for us to come away with points here.
“We've had good games against Arsenal. Last year, beat them twice, and start of this year, weren't far off beating them as well.
“So, yeah, massive for us to come here and get the win. Obviously really happy with how I played and scored the winner. So, yeah, can't complain too much!”
On his goal, Scott added: “I think to have that composure there, in this stadium against this team, we have to take those chances and it's something we spoke about before the game, we're not going to get many chances, so when they come like that, you have to score them.
“So yeah, really pleased with how I dealt with it and put the ball away.”
