Henderson's first goal for Brentford was cancelled out by Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the points were shared at the Gtech.

The former Liverpool captain recreated Diogo Jota’s trademark celebration - sitting down and pretending to play a video game. Jota died in a car crash along with his brother, Andre Silva, in July.

"It was his birthday recently," Henderson, 35, told Sky Sports.

"We will never forget him. We always remember him forever. I can only imagine what the lads at Liverpool are going through.

"He was a good friend and, like I said, I don't score many goals so I thought I would dedicate it to him."

Henderson also said: "We always knew it was going to be a difficult game.

"Leeds are a good side who have had some really good results of late, so we knew they’d come and make it a difficult game, which they did.

"Their formation is quite hard to break down but I think, once we got our nose in front, we were disappointed not to win the game and keep a clean sheet."
