Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has been told by former Tottenham star Stephen Carr to not come back to the club.

Kane is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s all-time great strikers. The England captain left Spurs for Bayern Munich in August 2023 for a record £100M transfer, but departed a legend who the fans would take back in an instant.

After 416 appearances and 280 goals, Kane established himself as a Spurs legend and as reported link him with a move away from the German champions, it is only natural that a return to North London is on the cards.

Kane won the Golden Boot four times with Tottenham but speaking to GOAL via Casino.org, Carr believes a move back to join manager Thomas Frank may not work out.

“I’m not sure. He’s having unbelievable success in Germany. He’s a goalscorer and will score goals wherever he goes.

“I’m sure he will have other offers. He has the buyout, and do Tottenham have first refusal? Is it ever the same when a player comes back again? Not really.

The team he left, he had a great relationship with him and (Heung-min) Son playing together - that worked really well. It would be a completely different team that he came back to if that evolved. I think he will have offers from big clubs if he wants to move on. He has proven that he just scores goals. He’s phenomenal.”

The Englishman is out of contract with the German giants in 2027, while reports of a £57M release clause have only heightened expectations that he may depart and return to the club that would be happy to see him return.
