Guardiola is expected to take a sabbatical before considering his next move, similar to the break he took after leaving FC Barcelona.

While club management will remain an option, international football is increasingly viewed as an attractive next step in his career.

Despite Thomas Tuchel recently extending his contract with England national football team through Euro 2028, he remains the Football Association’s long-term “dream” candidate.

talkSPORT reports Pep is intrigued by the idea of leading a national team and could be open to the England role in the future.

Other nations are also monitoring his situation, with Saudi Arabia emerging as a potential contender as they build towards hosting the 2034 World Cup.
