The Eagles have suffered just one loss from their last nine Premier League London derbies away from home, which came against leaders Arsenal in October.
On Thursday night they face Tottenham, a side who are still the only team without a Premier League win in 2026 and are on a run of 4 straight losses in the top flight.
Lacroix is a huge loss
Glasner, who will feel confident heading into the clash despite the loss to Manchester United at the weekend, first spoke on losing Maxence Lacroix to a red card which he picked up against the Red Devils.
“He’s a big miss. But we showed against Wolves we could win, with a clean sheet. We need other ones to step up and that’s how we’ve prepared.
“The referee decided that way and we have to accept it.
“That game is over. We took many positives from this game. But we have seen what we have to improve. Every game, every experience, is helpful."
Mateta will return next week
Spurs beat Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park in December when Thomas Frank was in charge but the side have fallen dramatically in form since then.
Glasner will be seeking revenge against the North London side as he next provided some team news, firstly on Jean-Philippe Mateta.
“We’re planning for him to be partly integrated next Monday in the team training for the Larnaca game. It will be the same, starting from the bench.
“He was out for a long time, but his knee looks better now. That’s why we have decided to reintegrate him. We have to be careful, but the goal is that he is available for the Larnaca and Leeds games."
“Eddie Nketiah won’t be available before April. So we’re pushing hard to have him back in the team.”
