Gary Neville was left furious after technical issues caused a second-half delay during Tottenham’s final-day Premier League clash with Everton.

The stoppage caused by VAR-related technical problems meant Spurs’ restart did not align with West Ham’s simultaneous match against Leeds United.

The delay quickly became a major talking point, with the mismatch in kick-off timings drawing widespread scrutiny given the high stakes across multiple matches.

Working as a co-commentator for Sky Sports, Neville condemned the situation, describing it as “absolutely ridiculous” and voicing his anger at referee Michael Oliver being forced to hold play.

"Why have they kicked off there if they're synchronising it? I don't think a football match should be stopped for this," Neville said.

"This is not good enough, I get you have technical problems. The fans are booing, and rightly so. I'm furious with this, not just because it's the last game of the season, sporting integrity."
