Former Premier League referee Mark Halsey says Fulham can feel aggrieved after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

Halsey says United benefited from two poor decisions from the match officials on the day.

On the penalty won by United, which was ultimately missed by Bruno Fernandes, Halsey insists the foul by Calvin Bassey on Mason Mount should not have stood.

"As well as Bassey on Mount, you must also look at Luke Shaw on Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz as both incidents happened simultaneously,” Halsey wrote for The Sun.

“I do not know why he was called over. Even when (ref Chris) Kavanagh went over to the screen, he was there for quite some time looking at it. There are two incidents, so which one is the more serious? The referee should have just played on. They cancel each other out.

“You can understand why Marco Silva has gone ballistic because for United’s goal, you can see a clear push from Leny Yoro on Bassey. So why is that not disallowed?”
