Premier League icon Dion Dublin has compared Chelsea's Cole Palmer to Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

United have been linked with a move for Chelsea star Cole Palmer in recent weeks after it was revealed that he was a Red Devils fan in his youth and that he misses life back in Manchester.

Palmer left Manchester City in 2023 to join Chelsea and reportedly yearns to be with his friends back up North in what would be an incredible move.

Speaking to OLBG, Dublin has praised the England star who he believes would slide into the United side as a figure comparable to club legend Ryan Giggs

“I don't think he'll find his way at Man United at this present time because he hasn't had enough games, and he's been on the bench a few times and stuff.

“When it comes to talent, and he's on it, there's nowhere he couldn't play, play anywhere. He's that good. His talent is just second to none. So I could see him at United, yes. When? I don't know.

“Would he work as a United player? Yes, he would. Yes, he would. He's very similar to Giggs in regards the way he manipulates the ball and the way he sways from side to side and goes past players and concur it in the top corner.

“This is going to throw some people, you know, some people might fall off their seats, but Giggs was a left footer playing on the left and Cole's a left footer playing on the right. So things have changed now, the game's changed.”

Palmer is said to have ruled out a return to Manchester City, where Pep Guardiola is still in charge after the club let him go. This leave the door open for United who could rescue the 23-year-old who is said to want out of West London.
