Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has made backroom changes ahead of his first game in charge this weekend.

De Zerbi has been tasked with keeping relegation-threatened Tottenham in the Premier League in what seems like an impossible feat for the side who lifted the Europa League title last season.

Spurs are just one point away from the bottom three, and they could fall into the relegation zone if they lose to Sunderland this weekend in what is De Zerbi’s first game in charge.

Ahead of the clash, De Zerbi has added Marcattilio Marcattilii and Marcello Quinto as First Team Fitness Coach and Senior Professional Development Phase Coach to his backroom staff.

They will look to work with Andreas Georgson (assistant coach), Cameron Campbell (individual development coach) and Fabian Otte (goalkeeping coach) on the coaching staff as well as Bruno Saltor (assistant coach).

Spurs have not won a league match in 2026, picking up five draws and eight defeats in that stretch. De Zerbi will hope that such staff changes will help turn the side around or at least help them survive relegation which could have dire consequences for the side.

De Zerbi’s side head to Sunderland at the weekend before hosting Brighton a week on Saturday in what are two games where Tottenham will be expected to pick up at least 3 points if they are to break away from the drop zone.
