Casemiro has agreed to have a clause in his Manchester United contract removed.

The Brazil midfielder's deal is running down this season and it's been announced he will leave Old Trafford this summer.

The Manchester Evening News says Casemiro has now agreed to have a clause in his contract canceled guaranteeing a new 12-month deal should he start 35 Premier League games this season.

As it stands, Casemiro will reach that 35 game mark should he start the remaining matches this term.

Since Michael Carrick's appointment as caretaker manager, Casemiro has made 14 successive Premier League starts.

The decision to cancel the clause was made in January as the two parties were discussing Casemiro's situation with his deal running down.
