Brentford reject improved Newcastle offer for frustrated Wissa

After seeing a £25m bid turned down, Newcastle returned with a new proposal of £40m for Wissa - but it was again rejected by Brentford, reports BBC Sport.

Wissa is becoming increasingly frustrated over the situation, with the striker eager to move to Tyneside before the market closes on September 1.

Earlier this week, Wissa removed all association with Brentford from his Instagram account.

Wissa has also held talks with Brentford owner Matthew Benham to make clear his aim to leave for Newcastle this month.
