Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock says they can be "proud" of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Leeds United.

Pinnock admits they went to Elland Road expecting a difficult clash.

"We knew what today was going to be," Pinnock stated. "Elland Road, away, it's really tough, the fans get involved, and we just wanted to keep them as quiet as we could.

"We wanted to work hard for each other and stick to our game plan... we didn't manage to score, but it was good for us to keep a clean sheet."

He added: "I think we did really well, we limited them, they had some shots from outside the box and got some crosses in, but they didn't have a big threat towards our goal.

"We could have been a bit more patient in the final third to find the right pass, but the work rate was unbelievable and the boys did themselves proud today."
