“I had a few offers this summer. A few names were mentioned in the media, from the Premier League and abroad,” Cash told SportoweFakty.

“From the beginning, however, I thought about staying at Aston Villa. I like it here, I'm developing. Last year we were in the Champions League, and we're still competing in European competitions.

“I'm about to reach 200 appearances for the club, I still have five more to go. I have goals to achieve here. And in four years, I'm going to Legia Warsaw!”

Asked if he was serious, Cash said: “I remember their great fans. I'm staying put at Birmingham for now. We have a great coach. He believes in me. We quickly agreed on a new contract.

“Unai Emery is a brilliant tactician, a very brilliant and intelligent coach. He understands the game, can help you develop yourself, can develop the team. Working with him is a pleasure. He's the best coach I've ever had in my career. And Jan Urban.”
