Salah, 33, is expected to leave Anfield this summer following an underwhelming season so far for the Champions as they track down European football.
Having scored just seven goals so far this season, the Egyptian king is far from his usual self as many predict that he does not have what it takes to perform in the Premier League anymore.
After blanking against Nottingham Forest, it’s now nine games without a goal for Salah who doesn’t look like he will break his duck anytime soon.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Allardyce has suggested that Salah grow up and stop blaming other people for his downfalls.
“Salah needs to bite the bullet, sit down, and make sure he starts scoring. Stop blaming Arne Slot when it’s your own fault that you’re not scoring and getting taken off. He can’t be disappointed with being taken off when he’s not scoring or creating.
“It seems like some sort of mental block, because it’s not just a spell anymore, it’s the whole season. It’s a worry for Liverpool and for him.
“He needs to stop displaying his dislike for the situation on the pitch. Go and knock on the manager’s door and take it up there. Don’t do it in front of everyone; he’s behaving like a big baby.”
A summer move feels inevitable for the 33-year-old, who is being linked with the Saudi Pro League ahead of the summer. Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon is being linked to replace him as Slot looks over all his potential replacements.
