There was hope the former Juventus and Manchester United midfielder would make his much-anticipated debut last month against Paris FC.
But an ankle strain forced him out of the game in the lead-up. Pogba hasn't played competitively for over two years due to injury and a doping ban.
At this morning's media preview, Pocognoli stated: "Paul has another training session today, then we'll evaluate the team. Will he be in the squad? If things go well, he could be."
He added, "We're all happy with the progress of our players, and Paul is certainly part of it. He has the ability to adapt to our midfield; he hasn't lost either his vision or his technique."
