In the Ligue 1 report published this Wednesday (11), the tournament’s Disciplinary Committee announced that the red card given to Endrick in the match between Nantes and Lyon last Saturday (7) has been rescinded and replaced with a second yellow card.

"After reviewing the footage and reading the referee’s report recommending the red card be withdrawn, the Disciplinary Committee decided to annul the red card and replace it with a second yellow card, which also results in a sending off," the committee’s report explains. "Therefore, the committee imposes a one-match suspension," the statement adds.

The Brazilian forward will miss the game against Nice next weekend, but will be available for the match against Strasbourg, since a straight red card would have ruled him out of both fixtures.

Endrick was booked just two minutes into the match, and referee Mathieu Vernice showed him a second yellow card in the 61st minute, before being called over by VAR. After reviewing the footage, he decided to withdraw the yellow and issue a straight red card instead—a decision that has now been overturned.
