The striker has so far scored four goals in 17 appearances in Ligue 1. He has started 13 matches of those 17.
The achievements have not gone unnoticed, and there have been reports of interest from the Italian giants Milan, among other things.
Now, however, transfer journalist Nicolò Schira states that Crystal Palace looks set to win the tug-of-war over Angers' attacking talent.
The London club have already agreed personal terms with Chérif. If the transfer goes through, he is expected to sign a five-year contract.
