"SC Braga informs that it has reached an agreement with Al-Ittihad FC (Saudi Arabia) for the permanent transfer of the player Roger Fernandes, for 34.5 million euros, of which 32 million euros are fixed and 2.5 million euros are related to collective and individual objectives," reads the statement published on the club's website.
SC Braga held out even after the market closed in Portugal, but not in Saudi Arabia, and will have to find a replacement at home for the 19-year-old.
Roger Fernandes made his debut for the arsenalista club at just 15 years old and was seen as a great promise for the club, making 91 appearances and scoring 12 goals.
A standout for Portugal at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Roger Fernandes joins the Saudi champions' squad, which includes Portuguese player Danilo Pereira. N'Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema are other stars of the Asian team.
The winger is part of Luís Freire's squad for the Portugal Under-21s and started the European qualifier against Azerbaijan on the bench.
