Portugal international midfielder William Carvalho was presented this Saturday as a new signing for Mexican side Pachuca. The 33-year-old was a free agent after terminating his contract with Betis.

After Paulinho, another Portuguese on Mexican soil. William Carvalho was unveiled this morning as a new signing for the Tuzos, who are second in the Mexican Apertura on six points, coincidentally the same as Toluca, where the former Sporting forward plays.

A European champion with Portugal, William spent seven years with Betis, the club with which he terminated his contract, which was due to expire only in June 2026.

Last season was affected by a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right leg in mid-September, which meant he only returned to action on 16 March - he played in 15 games and started only six times.
