Mbappe was speaking at a France media conference ahead of friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.
The striker has been a substitute for Real's past two games as he's been recovering from a knee strain.
However, Mbappe says he's clear and fit to play for Les Bleus, stating: "My knee is fine, much better. It's progressing quite well, although I know there's been a lot of speculation about it and some false things have been said.
"It's the life of a top athlete; we're used to people saying things without verifying them or having any basis in fact."
Mbappe also said: "100% recovered. I had the opportunity to get a good diagnosis in Paris. And together we were able to devise a plan to get back to my best level with Real Madrid and also with an eye toward the World Cup."
