Suarez to return to Barcelona?

Suarez, much like teammate Lionel Messi has explained how once his in the US is over, he plans to make his way back to Spain where his family feels at home once his career is finalised.

"Yes, I am always keeping up with Barcelona –  the children too, because you don’t stop being a fan. You don’t stop having admiration for the club, you have affection for the club and you still have contact with people from the club.

“We still have a house there. Our planned idea is to return to Barcelona for everything that results for us. We have confirmed it because of everything it gave us and because we always feel at home there."

Was Barcelona too demanding?

Reflecting on his time at the Camp Nou, the former Liverpool star also opened up on his dark times in La Liga where he reveals how demanding it was day to day.

“Let’s start with the negative: I went through several bad spells. When I wasn’t scoring away from home, it bothered me too. I was angry with myself.

“Then it becomes a big deal and affects you even if you don’t want it to. I wanted to show the strength I mentioned at the beginning.

“That was a difficult time, but then I have a saying, a phrase that Barcelona does to you. It demands that every three days, every game, you have to perform.”

During his stint at Barcelona, scored 195 goals and registered 113 assists across 283 games. He will forever be remembered as a club legend and as he plans to turn 39 in January, a return to the city isn’t far off.
