The player's agent has confirmed Barca's interest, though Asllani said after defeat to Mainz on the weekend: "Last season, when I was still at Elversberg, everyone was talking: 'What now? Contract next season, this, that.'
"I just kept saying: 'Leave me alone, let me play football, let me have fun.' And that's exactly what I'm doing this year. We'll see what happens in the end.
"I can only influence what happens on the pitch: keep performing well, try to help the team, whether with goals, assists, or whatever. And what's going on around me, to be honest, doesn't interest me.
"Everyone just talks and talks."
