"He has to stay" - Barcelona make Joao Cancelo transfer decision

The 31-year-old joined Barcelona for his second loan spell in January and has gone on to make 13 appearances across all competitions so far.

Per Spanish outlet Sport, the Barcelona dressing room are pushing the club to make Cancelo’s signing permanent in the summer.

Barcelona’s ongoing financial issues may make that tricky, however, as they’re relying on the defender to pay out his own contract with Al Hilal.

Al Hilal are also unlikely to sanction the deal, as they still have €8 million left to cover payments from his original transfer from Man City.
