The Italian, frozen out by sacked Real coach Xabi Alonso, led the fitness side of today's trainig session at the club's HQ.
OkDiario says the status of Pintus had been one of the sources of tension between the board and Xabi, who was dismissed on Monday.
Pintus, who has worked on the staff of the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Carlos Ancelotti, was kept on by Real after the latter's departure at the end of last season.
But despite requests from the board, Xabi refused to add Pintus to his staff, effectively leaving him sidelined as an 'office' fitness co-ordinator.
The physical state of Real's players this season had drawn major concerns from directors, but Xabi continually refused to bring in Pintus to work with the squad.
However this morning that has now changed. With Xabi and his staff gone, Pintus was back in charge this morning as he prepared the players for their first session under caretaker coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
