Getafe coach Jose Bordalas slammed Vinicius Jr after defeat at home to Real Madrid on Sunday.

Vinicius Jr saw Allan Nyom sent off for Getafe after being on the pitch for 37 seconds. Kylian Mbappe struck the only goal of the game on 80 minutes - three minutes after Nyom's red card. Alexis Sancris was then sent off on 84 minutes.

Bordalas snapped afterwards: "Vinicius told me 'great substitution,' then (Jude) Bellingham came to me and said something, and I told him to play and keep quiet.

"Vinicius shouldn't provoke. Nyom's dismissal ruined the effort of the lads, who gave it their all.

"Vinicius touched his face, simulating an attack. For me, it's not a red card, at most a yellow. I didn't get an explanation from the referee because VAR didn't intervene.

"It all stemmed from Kiko's yellow card, which also was unfair."

"Curiously, we had chances with nine men; it would have been a great reward for the players who gave their all against an incredible opponent like Madrid."

He added, "We played boldly, defended well, and controlled the game. Unfortunately, everything got complicated by the red cards. Referees are human, they make mistakes, but this action didn't deserve a red card."
