While Mohamed Ouahbi has been named Morocco's new coach after the resignation of Walid Regragui, Iniesta is also in advanced talks with the Federation about becoming the nation's sporting director.
Sport says Iniesta will "contribute to structuring and strengthening the performance project around the senior national team, while João Sacramento will bring a working methodology adapted to high-pressure environments, which will contribute to the team's daily preparation and performance".
Portuguese coach Sacramento is the national team's assistant coach.
Talks over Iniesta's contract were ongoing last night, but everything seems to be in place.
The press release announcing his arrival had even been prepared and was scheduled for release today (Friday).
