After being linked with a move away over the summer, Garcia has become fundamental for Barca coach Hansi Flick after Inigo Martinez's departure for Al-Nassr.

He recalled to Sport: "They judged me impatiently. It's part of our times and social media; sometimes we talk without seeing the truth."
Regarding his relationship with Flick, he added: "He told me he sees leadership skills in me. I'm working on that and I take inspiration from Íñigo."
And on his future, Garcia revealed: "We're talking about a renewal, and I hope it's resolved soon; I'm only thinking about staying."
