However, Alvarez told Marca: "It doesn't bother me. I try not to focus too much on what is said.
"It's everywhere on social media. I think it's more about what's being said than what's actually happening."
The Argentine insists he is fully focused on Atlético Madrid at the moment.
"I am fully focused on this season and what lies ahead with Atlético Madrid. I try to disconnect from that, and think about myself, my development and winning," he added.
