Wolves remain unbeaten in 2026 and Edwards said: “It was more than satisfactory; it was a really good day for us. A good performance, very professional, more progression seen and lots and lots of positives. It was an enjoyable day all round.

“We kept that momentum going like I wanted and I thought was a really good performance. We were clinical when we needed to be, although I still think we could have got a bit more as we left one or two out there, but there was an amazing save, and maybe one or two other big chances, but I thought we were clinical.

“I thought we had a good mix because what we asked for today was patience, but then a purpose with our play. Not just to have 20 passes and then go back, or 20 passes, lose it, and they counter attack.

"I thought we had a good mixture of patience, purpose and a threat, so that was pleasing, and we were able to keep building on what we’re doing at the moment, which was really good.”

Amazing for Jorgen

On Strand Larsen, he also said: “It was amazing for him. I’m really pleased. He’s been working so hard and it’s been a difficult time for him, personally as well, but we all go through this. We all have to take criticism when we’re in this job and in this industry, but it’s about how you can come back from that, and he’s been really good.

“He is a top quality player. I know goalscorers are judged by their goals, and number nines are judged by their goals, but he really has been. We see him every day, and that’s why we pick what we pick, and we make the decisions we do. He’s been really good for us.

“Around the training ground, with the messages that he’s saying, he’s been a big part of why we’ve been able to start turning this around. He’s showing the right things, and he’s a great guy. He works very, very hard, so it’s nice today that he’s been rewarded with the goals, nice that he got a really good reception when he was coming off, which is another thing that’s really pleased me today.”
