Tedesco said afterwards: "We played well. We lost the tie in the home match, but we put up a very good (contest) today. We not only (competed), but also created many chances. Many players gave a fantastic performance."

Tedesco praised goalkeeper Tarık Çetin's performance: "His good play was not a surprise for us.

"Alaettin (Ekici's) good play was also not a surprise. We are all happy with his performance. Oğuz Aydın had been absent for a few weeks and was very decisive... the team showed that it is alive and strong."

He added, "We played with a new system, but what was important for us was... an attacking mentality. Just attack, attack, attack."
