Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has spoken on former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and how loved playing under him.

The forward made his way to the Nou Camp on a season-long loan this summer after being forced out by manager Ruben Amorim in what was United’s “bomb squad” that also included the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.

The striker has already bagged five goals in 12 appearances across all competitions, and earned up his seventh assist of the season against Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday. Rashford did not earn respect from Amorim and struggled under former manager Erik ten Hag.

However, speaking to Norwegian outlet TV2, he said he loved working under Solskjaer, who he said helped United play some impressive football from 2018 to 2021.

"Ole is a fantastic person. I loved playing under him. I can speak for many of the players at Manchester United when I say that we enjoyed playing for him.

“We played good football under Ole. It was a very successful period for me personally. He is a fantastic person, and I don’t have a bad word to say about him."

During this period, Rashford featured 135 times, the most he’s played under any manager in his career. The England star scored 55 times and added 36 assists in what was an incredible few years for him as a forward.

Rashford's next opportunity to star for Barcelona will be on Sunday, when they will face Elche in La Liga. Each week he proves why United should not have let him go and he will try and do so once more this weekend.
