West Bromwich Albion have signed Aston Villa midfielder Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba on loan for the rest of the season.

Jimoh-Aloba has made six senior appearances for Villa since making his debut in last season’s 2–1 EFL Cup victory over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.

He then had two more first-team appearances in cup competitions against Crystal Palace and Cardiff City over the next couple of months.

He will now spend the second half of the season with The Baggies, a move he admits he is delighted with as the club feels like home to him.

“This was the number one place I wanted to come because of the emotions and feelings I have towards the club. Those emotions are still in me deeply.

“This is a massive club that should be in a much better place and I want to come here and help and do the best I can. I’m determined to help lift the team.

“I was here as a kid from the age of six, so it’s a place I’m comfortable at. It’s a positive for me to come back, and I can’t wait to get going.”

Reports state that his arrival comes to the club with a significantly lower wage contribution than Samuel Iling-Junior's, potentially allowing Albion to further bolster the squad before the 7pm deadline later tonight.
