City have lost their last two major finals, both in the FA Cup in 2024 and 2025 whilst Arsenal have not won this competition since 1993.

Arsenal are unbeaten in each of their previous six meetings with City and will look to grab the first part of a historic quadruple on Sunday in what is a historic season so far.

The Gunners will be without Mikel Merino (foot), Martin Odegaard (knee) and Jurrien Timber (ankle) for the clash as Arteta wait for updates on both the trio who could return once the international break is over next month.

Meanwhile, City are without just one player in Josko Gvardiol (calf / shin) in what is a relatively injury free squad for Guardiola who confirmed that James Trafford replaces Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal for the clash.

City have won this competition eight times but not since 2021 have they lifted this trophy. The last time these two sides met they drew 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium in what was a tight affair between the two title challengers.
