Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie says his side are ready to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final this weekend.

Arsenal and Manchester City meet at Wembley on Sunday for what should be an exciting clash between two sides who top the Premier League table.

The Gunners enter the game as they chase down the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Champions League in what could turn into a quadruple season, something that has never done by an English side.

If Arsenal lift the EFL Cup, it would be their first trophy since winning the FA Cup under Mikel Arteta in 2020.

Speaking ahead of the game, Hincapie says his side are focused on the clash as they also try to stay afloat in the title race.

"It's going to be a very difficult game," he said as quoted by ESPN. "We're very focused on wanting to win it, but we have to work hard to win the title.

“We're really focused on the final, which is a very important final. We're going to train very hard to get to the final in the best way possible and to win the title. That's the most important thing."

City have won this competition eight times but have not won it since 2021. Arsenal have lost more finals than any other side with their most recent being 2018 in what will be a real challenge for manager Mikel Arteta.
