A late loan signing from Sheffield United, Norrington-Davies has made the left-back position his own under Rs manager Julien Stephan.
And the Wales international admits, after his first few games with QPR, the atmosphere generated by the home support at Loftus Road had taken him aback.
Norrington-Davies tells Tribalfootball.com: "I commented when I first came down to the boys in terms of the fans and when I asked 'is it always like this when we win?' because the place was absolutely rocking. And they were like, 'yeah if we're winning it's always going off' and I went 'fair play'.
"And it's been like that since I got here, so obviously from the players' point of view and the fans' connections it is good and we just need to keep on performing."
Too soon to judge
Norrington-Davies' arrival coincided with a run of wins at QPR which saw them jump to sixth place on the Championship table before the last international break. However, a recent slump has them sitting now in the bottom half.
But in terms of season ambitions, Norrington-Davies insists it's too soon to consider anything at the moment. Instead, he says the table won't start settling down until the New Year.
He adds, "There's a hell of a lot of football to be played. Ask me that in another nine games, ten games time and I'll give you a more up-to-date answer then.
"There's obviously a lot of football to be played in that time, some good opposition, so let's get some more games out of the way first and ask me halfway through...
"(But) listen, we've got a good squad in terms of competition for places. I mean, to get promoted, you need to have a solid defensive structure. You need to be good, concede a minimal amount of goals. If you can keep that foundation, we've got the players up top in terms of our attacking threats, in terms of you've got a lot of good players that can obviously win you games, score your goals. And if they're scoring and producing and obviously the defensive structure is keeping those clean sheets then there's no reason why not. But like I said it's obviously early days for that."

Why QPR?
As for his own game, Norrington-Davies feels he has the manager's confidence. Indeed, he admits as soon as he heard QPR's plans, committing to the loan was an easy decision to make.
"I spoke to the team here and they obviously mentioned the fact that they needed a left-back," he recalled. "Someone who was obviously going to come in and play football. And as soon as that was put forward to me, I was pretty much sold on it.
"Obviously, it's a very high standard within the Championship. A team who have had a couple of tough seasons of late, but obviously their aim was to avoid relegation and finish mid-table,
which they've done. And they told me that they wanted to do it a little bit better this season."
As for Stephan, Norrington-Davies continued: "I've worked under a lot of managers. I know I've taken to Julien in terms of how he wants to play, in possession, out possession. He does his research about teams you're playing from a game-to-game basis and he always adapts for each team. So he's good to work under.
"He has his plan and he puts it forward to us in the build up to the game. We know what we're doing going into that game, so no one's ever unclear on what the game plan is and in terms of him as a person and his man-management of players it's up there... he's been good to me, so I can't complain so far.
"Yeah, his system suits me. Obviously, back four, an out-and-out left back. Defensive structure is obviously the main priority. And if you can get forward, then you're free to get forward, which suits me down to a T."
