Paris Saint-Germain clash with Monaco this week as both sides aim to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

European champions PSG are strong favourites heading into the clash on Tuesday night at Stade Louis II for the first leg.

Monaco edged into the knockouts with just two wins in eight league-phase matches, while PSG also struggled through the latter rounds, taking only two points from their final three games.

The all French clash should be an exciting affair as both sides search for rhythm and a spot in the next round of the competition.

PSG reached the last 16 last season by beating French side Brest 10-0 over two leg, but Monaco will be a tougher test as the side enter the game without two players in Quentin Ndjantou (hamstring) and Fabián Ruiz (knee).

Meanwhile, Monaco are without several players across every area of the pitch as the likes of Takumi Minamino (Torn knee ligaments), Lukas Hradecky (knee), Paul Pogba (calf), Christian Mawissa (hamstring), Mohammed Salisu (ACL), Eric Dier (calf), Kassoum Ouattara (calf) all miss out.

Despite Monaco’s injuries, this is unlikely to be a cakewalk for PSG, who are firm favourites for the clash. Monaco have made a habit of unsettling PSG at the Stade Louis II and an upset could be on the cards.
