Slot and Carragher exchanged words about the manager's tactics for the win at the Velodrome.
Carragher, on TNT, asked: "Arne, can I ask about the set-up tonight. The last few months you've tried to make the team get better and better, and you've played lots of different formations, can you explain how it looked tonight?"
Slot replied, smiling: "I find it hard to listen to you, Jamie, because you are the one who told me I have to make sure we didn't concede that much.
"So I started to do that (change his formations on a regular basis) and people began to complain it became boring, so I'm not sure if I should listen to you."
He also joked: "We score three and now, people like Jamie are positive about us. I don't think you were positive after the Burnley game, were you, Jamie?"
After the studio's laughter, Slot went onto reply to Carragher's question seriously, explaining how he set up his formation for the win.
