Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain and European hopefuls Arsenal clash this weekend at the Puskas Arena in what will be an immense test for both clubs.
Saturday’s final in Budapest will be the 63rd game of 2025-26 for Arsenal, and the 56th for Paris Saint-Germain in what has been a busy schedule for each side heading into the final game of the campaign.
PSG have beaten Monaco, Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich on their run to the final and despite already looking lethal in all areas of the pitch, they also have a major advantage over the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta's side finished off their Premier League title-winning campaign on Sunday against Crystal Palace whilst PSG, last faced Paris FC on May 17th.
This then means the Ligue 1 champions will have had 13 days to prepare for the final, while Arsenal will have had just six, less than half of their European rivals.
As per the BBC, of the 10 players with the most league minutes for either club this season, just two, Zaire-Emery and Illia Zabarnyi, play for the French side.
Arsenal have also played more matches than any other team in any of the top five European leagues, having gone deep in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup.
Arteta’s squad will be up for a fight on Saturday night but after such a tiring campaign, they may be too exhausted to match PSG as worries grow.
