AS Monaco management have decided to leave Paul Pogba out of their Champions League squad.

The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder is struggling with a calf injury after making a debut in November.

Pogba has been working his way back after serving a doping ban and recovering from a series of injuries over the past two years.

As well as Pogba, defender Mohammed Salisu and midfielder Takumi Minamino have been removed from the squad, with both players also out through injury.

On Pogba, Monaco chief Thiago Scuro told RMC: "The entire medical department is focused on finding solutions.

“There's no clear answer to that question.

"We still need to develop the process to clarify the situation. As with any injury, the first step will be to get back on the pitch, then continue to progress in training to regain the necessary fitness to play.”
