The former Manchester United forward is currently in career best form and De Zerbi didn't hesitate to set the record straight with a journalist who tried to find out more about Greenwood's life since his alleged domestic violence case.
“I don’t pry into anyone’s private life, not even my children’s," said the OM coach.
"He’s a good guy, he paid a heavy price for what happened. A very heavy price. He found the right environment for him, he was given a helping hand. He behaved well, he has an introverted character.
"When I look at him as a person, it saddens me what happened in his life, because I know a different person than the one who was described in England."
