City have collected 10 points from their opening four games to sit fourth in the 36-team table. Guardiola’s side now gone a remarkable 23 home games without defeat in the Champions League phase/group stage, and will aim to make it 24 against Leverkusen.
How will City recover from their defeat to Newcastle?
Guardiola firstly spoke on how his side plan to move on from this weekend's defeat to Newcastle United.
"It's immediately forgotten. We thought about what happened but it's of massive importance that we have our way in the group stage.
"Now we start the last four games. Two at home, two away. Tomorrow third in the table in Bundesliga. Massively important game to finish in the first eight and we need tomorrow and one more point we will be qualified for the next round.
"Tomorrow is important and focus on what we have to do.
"We have to (move on). What happens in the past doesn't count."
Rodri and Kovacic are out
Next, Guardiola was asked about team news and confirmed that Rodri and Mateo Kovacic will not be available against Leverkusen.
"(Rodri) not for tomorrow, (Kovacic) not for tomorrow. Everyone else for tomorrow.
"(Rodri) not long but not sure when he will be back. We will wait a little bit more to make sure he is fine."
Guardiola reaches huge milestone
Guardiola will aim to make it 100 Champions League matches as a manager this week, and the Spaniard admitted that he is growing old.
"I realise I'm getting old. Every game is a milestone. It's good. It means every season we've been there. It's a huge competition.
"It's special for the players. To challenge yourself with the best teams in Europe is incredible, a huge experience. For the club, in terms of reputation, prestige and financial issues it's massively important."
Guardiola says he is sorry after cameraman confrontation
The City boss confronted a pitch side cameraman after the Newcastle defeat and has now apologized for his poor behaviour.
"I feel embarrassed and ashamed when I see it. I don’t like it. I apologise to the cameraman.
"I am who I am. Even with 1000 games, I am not a perfect person and I make mistakes.
"I defend my team and my club."
Donnarumma's actions are justified
Finally, he was asked about goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who has four yellow cards already this season, including three in the Premier League so is not too far away from a ban.
He has to defend his position. If he's booked, he's booked... James (Trafford) will play
